" Rather, the course's ridge offers its own unique challenges with several difficult, uphill shots throughout. No. 8 is a long, uphill par-3 with a blind tee shot from the back tees. Bunkers front left and right guard entry to a long putting surface that slopes back to front right. It plays nearly 218 yards up hill, but into the prevailing wind the hole plays even longer. " It's just a bear, " says head pro Paul Schintz. " Trouble is getting to the green-having a crisp enough shot to carry it and hold it. That's darn hard. You can nub it up there, but there's a pretty severe slope in front which stops a lot of shots from running up. " -Joseph Oberle 8 MINNESOTAGOLFER Fall 2020 mngolf.orghttp://www.mngolf.org
