Jeff Olson, U of M Men's Golf Club
Jeff Olson is no stranger to the game, especially its competitive
side. He spent four of his college years playing for Greg Harvey
and the Golden Gopher golf squad. Now he's a 4.2 handicap
and divides his golf course time between rounds with his wife,
Janet, also an accomplished golfer; their two sons; and his best
friend and two brothers-in-law.
The MGA Associate Members' Day events are a highlight
of Olson's golf season. " You get to play a nice golf course with
your best friends and enjoy really nice [hors d'oeuvres] afterward, "
he says. Olson and friends have played in nearly every
MGA Associate Members' Day event since 2005. This
year, he, his brothers-in-law and best friend plan to
make a four-day trip out of the member days at Giants
Ridge (Aug. 30-31), adding a side trip to The Wilderness
at Fortune Bay.
