2011 Evans Scholars
Full tuition and housing scholarships
were awarded to 11 high school senior
caddie-scholars on January 25 at
the Golden Valley G&CC. The Evans
Scholars scholarships are awarded by
the Western Golf Association based
on caddieing experience, academic excellence,
financial need and character.
The scholars will attend the University
of Minnesota and live in the Evans
Scholars Chapter House, which is supported
by the MGA.

MGA Junior Golf 2011
Your golf club is encouraged to field
a team of junior golfers (ages 18 and
under) for the 2011 MGA Junior Golf
Program. More than 120 MGA clubs
from around the state, including about
700 boys and girls, play in district (June
20-July 8) and regional (July 21-22)
tournaments. The top two teams (and
low individuals) advance to the MGA
Junior Team Championship at Pokegama
Golf Course in Grand Rapids, August
1-2. The junior program is a great
way to build camaraderie amongst
your club's future members and champions.
