(tips from the pros ) ALIGN FROM BEHIND You'll put your body in the best shot alignment by viewing the target from behind the ball. By Mike Barge, Hazeltine National Golf Club Photos by Matt Seefeldt very shot in golf requires picking a target, and then aiming your body and club. Our eyes play tricks on us when we stand to the side of the ball, hoping and guessing we are lined up properly. By not trusting our aim, we are more likely to make in-swing adjustments. Not a good idea. Approaching the ball from behind versus the side allows us to locate our target and fi nd an intermediate spot a few feet in front of the ball. Caddies are allowed to line up their players as long as they move before the shot is played. Whatever means you use, make it a habit to start behind the ball, fi nd an intermediate target, trust it once you address the ball and swing with confi dence.
