Be mindful of the sprawling fairways and large greens, as they are often faster and bouncier than expected. With its fi rst of fi ve tees set back in a nest of trees, the fi nal hole doglegs left to bring you back to the spectacu8 lar clubhouse. A pond lies left of the fairway, hidden behind a clove of trees, and challenges your approach to a long green guarded by three bunkers. " You've got to challenge the hole and play down the middle; don't bail out on the right, " says course pro Rick Grand. Remember to glance left and admire the radiant blues of Lake Bemidji as you fi nish your round at Bemidji T&CC. -Rachel Blauert MINNESOTAGOLFER Spring 2022 mngolf.org PHOTO: PETER WONG PHOTOGRAPHY; ILLUSTRATION: COURTNEY NIESLSENhttp://www.mngolf.org
