No. 8 (176 yds.): unchanged. It was the
most diffi cult hole relative to par on Sunday in '02.
No. 1: tipping out at 490 yards (30 yards
longer than in 2002), the bunker on the right side
of the fairway was moved toward the fairway.

No. 2 (431 yds.): the hill inside the
dogleg was removed and bunkers were added
there and across the fairway to narrow the target
and make turning the dogleg more challenging.
No. 3: at 633 yards, this big par 5 plays as
a three-shotter.
No. 4: now plays to 210 yards, 14 yards longer
than in '02.

No. 11: unchanged. Rich Beem eagled the
606-yard hole in Sunday's fi nal round in '02.
No. 5: never easy, this par 4 was stretched
30 yards to 448 yards; bunkers were moved
toward the fairway, inside the dogleg, threatening
the already-narrow landing area.
No. 6 (405 yds.): unchanged.

No. 7: although it was lengthened to 572 yards,
this is one par 5 that's reachable in two. Some
trees were removed near the fairway, but a new
bunker was added, pinching the landing area.

No. 13: Hazeltine found another 43 yards to
add to this already testing one-shot hole. It can
play to 248 yards. Expect players to hit hybrids
and even 3-woods to this green, guarded by
an enlarged and deepened bunker on the right,
and a water hazard on the left, with a deepened
bunker situated between it and the green.

No. 12: perhaps the most diffi cult par 4 in
Minnesota, this hole plays uphill to an elevated,
shallow green. Lengthened 53 yards, it now can
play as long as 518 yards. However, wind and
weather may dictate where tournament offi cials
place the tee.
No. 10: lengthened to 452 yards with a new
tee. The fairway was scalloped and reshaped
for a better view from the tee. Some trees were
removed inside the dogleg to allow for a " healthy
stand of rough. " Bunkers were repositioned.
A 280-yard tee shot is required to position an
approach where the green is visible.

No. 9 (432 yds.): a tough fairway to
hit (45.3 percent of drives landed safely in '02).
The huge bunker separating the greens at
Nos. 9 and 18 was removed, and two new, deeper
bunkers were added in its place.
