Ryan olf courses are renovated for a variety of reasons: age, to keep up with golf equipment technology, for more effi cient maintenance, to recapture the original architect's vision or just to keep members challenged and prospective golfers interested. But when a golf course is accustomed to holding major local or national tournaments, the bar for keeping the course up-to-date is raised even higher. Ultimately, golf courses renovate for a number of reasons at once, and three local privates offering a new look this spring fi t into a number of those categories. Edina Country Club, Interlachen Country Club and Hazeltine National Golf Club have all gone through some changes, from subtle alterations that might be hard to detect to signifi cant changes that members have been itching to play all spring.
