(tips from the pros ) Focusing on Putting Practice Practice putting with focus- and a little pressure, too By Martha Nause Photos by Matt Seefeldt F ocused putting practice is essential to becoming a better putter. This drill addresses all phases of good putting. Choose a long putt (about 25-30 feet) and decide how many putts you must make to complete the drill (three 30-footers, perhaps). For effi ciency, choose two holes to putt between. Hole out all putts, and add another " make " for each three-putt. The beauty is that this drill addresses many important parts of putting. Hitting numerous putts smooths out your stroke and helps develop good touch for your lag putts. Holing a certain number of putts and minimizing three-putts adds pressure, too.
