(tips from the pros ) The Shadow Knows You can use the early or late-day sun to help improve your swing. By Jeff Otto, Olympic HIlls GC Photo by Matt Seefeldt O ne of the best and least expensive learning aids on the market today is the sun. Simply make use of your shadow during your next practice session. Start by standing with your back to the sun. Then place a ball on the ground by your left ear. Use the ball as a frame of reference as you swing to the top of your backswing. It's okay if your head fl oats a little to the right. The key is to stay behind the ball until impact. If need be, rehearse a few slow-motion downswings to get the feel of staying behind the ball.
