The First Tee was established to impact
the lives of young people around the world
by creating affordable and accessible
golf facilities to primarily serve those not
previously exposed to the game and its

Burnham Named Big
Ten Player of the Year
Two days after leading the Michigan
State University women's golf team to
the Big Ten Conference championship,
former Wayzata High School standout,
Sarah Burnham, was named the 2017
Big Ten Women's Player of the Year.
On April 23, the junior fi nished as
runner-up at the Big Ten Championship
following a school and tournament record
9-under-par 63 during the second
round, just one shot behind the University
of Michigan's Elodie Van Dievoet.

Minnesota Minority Junior Golf
Association, MMJGA
The MMJGA sponsors a Caddie Program,
which gives young people a chance to
discover golf and earn income at the same
time. Teens in the program learn how to
play golf and are afforded an opportunity to
earn income, respect, confi dence and free
rounds of golf by working as caddies. Go to
