I t's common knowledge that golfers and their lower backs don't get along. If you've ever experienced pain and discomfort in that area, you know what I mean. Lower back pain is a career-ender for some; for others, such as Tiger Woods, it's a long process of multiple surgeries and rehabilitation. There are many possible causes of lower back issues, but let's make sure your golf swing isn't one of them. It all starts with good posture. We're taught to lift from the legs when hoisting something heavy. Get that sensation in your setup. Finish tall and avoid a backward bend, or " reverse C " swing. Take as much pressure as possible off the lower back, and you can enjoy this game for a long time.
