A golf ball
fitting is
recommended
for all golfers-
no matter
your swing
speed.
T
here is only one piece
of equipment you use
on every single shot: your
golf ball.
Unlike many other sports,
golf doesn't have a shared
ball. This allows players to
choose one that is best for
their personal game. In picking
a ball, you must decide
what's most important to
you-it could be distance,
control, feel or price.
I recommend choosing a
ball where the majority of
shots occur, which is inside
of 100 yards. Picking a ball
based on driver distance and
14 shots maximum doesn't
make sense if that ball doesn't
include short game control.
And don't think that your
swing speed is too slow to
compress a premium ball.
All balls compress at various
swing speeds, and the
difference between high
and low speeds is minimal.
Compression relates more
to softness, so if you prefer a
softer feel, a low compression
ball will be right for you.
Once you fi nd a ball, commit
to it for consistency and
familiarity.
