Clarifying my position This unique functionality would be for nothing if Claro weren't also a darn good EQ. Happily, it filters in the Produce view perform similar to a classic analog console EQ with wide bands and generous slopes. The low shelf filter with the opposite side overshoot option is quite flattering. The descriptive zones and the adaptive display in Tweak help further fineness frequencies with a highly intuitive layout and, in my experience, produce sweet musical results despite the clinical nature of the tool. A sweet mix Mix view is icing on the cake. Being able to see where frequencies overlap is a true time-saver. The reference and working track slots operating handin-hand make it super easy to finetune overly resonant frequencies and instruments that are getting in each other's way. It has become my goto for getting my kick and bass to sit perfectly side-by-side in a mix. It's also very effective for clarifying elements in the busy mid-frequency zone where guitars, keyboards, and voices happily occupy overlapping sonic real estate. Seeing where frequencies overlap graphically lets me use my ears effectively to get sources to dominate the correct frequencies. Fini Claro is a wonderful addition to the Sonnox Toolbox lineup. The excellent sound and innovative workflow make it an easy EQ plugin to endorse. Its use of descriptive language and unique displays to point you to frequency zones is a great learning tool for less experienced users and a bit of liberator for the more seasoned. Claro? Si.
