Board Members Discuss Issues Facing Pharmacy Boards
at Virtual NABP Interactive Forum
Thirty-nine board of pharmacy members
gathered virtually for the annual NABP
Interactive Member Forum on January
26-27, 2022. Themed " Sharing Solutions,
Advancing Regulation, " the event offered
attendees an opportunity to discover solutions
to challenges faced by the state boards and
reinforced the partnership between the boards
of pharmacy and NABP in their shared
mission to protect the public health.
The meeting featured two days of
sessions to provide board members with an
opportunity to discuss specific topics and
issues of special interest provided by invitees.
Interactive elements such as chat discussions
and polling questions enabled attendees
to connect and collaborate with fellow
colleagues and peers during the forum.
Board of pharmacy members, NABP
Executive Committee members, and
NABP staff served as panelists to kick off
session discussions, and several members
of the NABP Executive Committee served
as moderators. The panelist-led sessions
covered such topics as emergency rules, the
federal Public Readiness and Emergency
Preparedness Act, vaccinators, and waivers;
advancing workplace safety and well-being;
white bagging and brown bagging; and
pharmacy benefits manager issues. NABP
staff also provided an overview on the digital
health care landscape and a regulatory update
on the Drug Supply Chain Security Act. In
addition, attendees had lively discussions on
several of the shared discussion topics they
submitted prior to the meeting.
NABP would like to thank the following
board of pharmacy members for serving
as panelists during the forum and sharing
their expertise:
