AROUND THE ASSOCIATION
Executive Officer Change
* Lucy Shell, PharmD, DPh, has
been named executive director of the
Tennessee Board of Pharmacy. Shell
comes to the Board after serving
as director of pharmacy practice
initiatives for the Tennessee Pharmacists
Association (TPA). As part of that
role and her recent interim position as
executive director for TPA, Shell has
worked on many different initiatives
that impact the profession of pharmacy
and how it is regulated. She has been
heavily involved with the legislative
and regulatory process, serving as the
association's lobbyist in 2021 and helping
develop comments on pending rules
before the Board of Pharmacy. Prior
to joining TPA, Shell was a practicing
pharmacist for CVS Health for over
five years. She graduated from East
Tennessee State University with a doctor
of pharmacy degree.
Board Member Appointments
* Jasjit Gill, PharmD, RPh, has been
appointed a member of the Colorado
State Board of Pharmacy. Gill's
appointment will expire July 1, 2025.
* Avani Soni, PharmD, RPh, has been
appointed a member of the Colorado
State Board of Pharmacy. Soni's
appointment will expire July 1, 2025.
* Kenneth Kester, PharmD, RP, has been
appointed a member of the Nebraska
Department of Health and Human
Services, Division of Public Health,
Licensure Unit. Kester's appointment
will expire November 30, 2026.
* Darrell D. Klein, JD, has been appointed
a public member of the Nebraska
Department of Health and Human
Services, Division of Public Health,
Licensure Unit. Klein's appointment will
expire November 30, 2026.
* Eric Lessard, PharmD, RPh, has
been appointed a member of the
New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy.
Lessard's appointment will expire
September 6, 2026.
* Angela Gonzales Jaber, PharmD, RPh,
has been appointed a member of the
New Mexico Board of Pharmacy. Jaber's
appointment will expire July 1, 2022.
* Sepideh Daeery, PharmD, RPh,
has been appointed a member of the
Utah Board of Pharmacy. Daeery's
appointment will expire June 30, 2024.
Board Member Reappointments
* Kristina Jonas, PharmD, RPh, has been
reappointed a member of the Idaho State
Board of Pharmacy. Jonas' appointment
will expire June 30, 2026.
* Diane M. Halvorson, RPhTech, CSPT,
CPhT-Adv, has been reappointed a
member of the North Dakota State
Board of Pharmacy. Halvorson's
appointment will expire May 8, 2026.
* Carrie Dunford, PharmD, RPh, has
been reappointed a member of the
Utah Board of Pharmacy. Dunford's
appointment will expire June 30, 2025.
* Autumn Hawks, CPhT, has been
reappointed a member of the Utah Board
of Pharmacy. Hawks' appointment will
expire June 30, 2025.
