»AAPA HeADQUARteRs education & Training Programs on the horizon the 2013 aapa seminar schedule is winding down, but there are still three important and popular programs on tap for the rest of this year. First, the annual Port Security Seminar & Expo will take place July 17-19 in Baltimore, Md. this event always draws a crowd of port security professionals and port police representatives, as well as a robust showing of technology exhibitors and security consultants. It’s one of aapa’s best-attended education and training programs. In September, aapa will host its Marine Terminal Management Training program in Long Beach, Calif. this program, to be held Sept. 9-13, offers port professionals and aspiring executives training on all aspects of port operations and leadership. It is a keystone for the professional port Manager (ppM®) program. the biennial Facilities Engineering Seminar, scheduled Nov. 6-8 in Vancouver, BC, rounds out this year’s programs. this seminar highlights best practices in engineering and design in the port industry, and Vancouver promises to be an exciting location for this popular event.
