The Williams family's 62-acre Fourtee Acres
Tree Farm in Enfield, NC, is a haven for
bobwhite quail, deer and other wildlife. The
expert guidance they received helped them
to restore the forest, secure a source of
income and ensure the land would pass to
their children.

A compass and a chance walk in the woods was all it
took for Brittany VanderWall to change her career path
from engineering to forestry. Today, she is inspiring
change within the forestry community and energizing
landowners and stakeholders with her forestry
stewardship and strong leadership.

The damage from hurricanes Michael and Florence in
2018 along the Florida Panhandle can be seen in the
pictures of downed trees and strafed forests. More than
200 landowners, tree farmers and industry experts came
together to develop strategic plans for recovery and
share resources and solutions for restoring their land.
