The Return of Longleaf

To stem the loss of U.S. longleaf pine, a coalition
of private landowners, federal and state agencies,
and a host of others created the American Longleaf
Restoration Initiative, which to date as planted more
than 5 million acres of longleaf pine.

its versatility and uses. But while global demand is
increasing yearly, supply is declining, and tree farmers
across the state are on a mission to regenerate white
