SOFTWARE

Efficient
simultaneous
sampling

Micro-Measurements brand has announced
StrainSmart 9000 dynamic data acquisition software. The software allows for the
simultaneous sampling of up to 48 channels,
at speeds of up to 50,000 samples per
second, with easy setup and minimal-to-no
downtime.
The StrainSmart 9000 performs accurate,
real-time data recording, analysis, display
and export in just minutes of software setup,
with one-touch auto-balance and post-processing data filtering. Designed for ease of
use by students, engineers and scientists.
A verify tool at setup allows the end-user
to perform early error and omission prearm checks. Visual representations provide
instant access to hardware wiring and
configuration validation data, with choice
of either local or remote real-time display
viewing.
Direct calculations of engineering units are
possible. Individual strain gage engineering
data entry is also possible. Parameters, such
as thermal output, gage factor variation with
temperature and thermal coefficient of gage
factor are corrected through the assignment
of a temperature sensor.

Larson Electronics has released an LED light tower, the WAL-QP4X48.160W-LED-50, which directly replaces balloon light towers.
This 640-watt unit includes four 4-ft. LED fixtures configured as
a downward 'X' to replace balloon light heads. This LED tower is
mounted on an aluminum quadpod that reaches heights between 7
to 12 ft. This IP65 unit is an ideal lighting solution for public work
sites and industrial operations.
These lamps can be adjusted vertically and produce 76,800 lumens, drawing just 640 watts
with a 50,000-hour rated lifespan. This
fixture has a 6,000K light temperature and illuminates the ground in a
160° wide flood beam spread of bright white LED light.
The LEDs in the WAL-QP-4X48.160W-LED-50 are housed in aluminum and
protected by shatter-resistant polycarbonate lenses. The quadpod the LED
fixtures are mounted on has a telescoping center pole to raise the light heads
and is built with non-sparking aluminum for a durable IP65-rated assembly
that can withstand harsh conditions and extreme temperatures from -30°C
to 60°C.

Hoskin Scientific's Camβ portable
inspection device is a rechargeable,
digital magnification and documenting system, which can be used in the
workshop, laboratory, production or
analytical environments or in the field.
It features magnification up to 20x
and is designed especially for industrial applications where viewing, image capture, reporting and documentation
is needed. The Camβ bends around corners and embeds inside materials.
It is for use in secure environments in which Bluetooth or communicationcapable devices are not acceptable.
