SHOW PREVIEW 2016 AAA Trade Show: Lights, Camera, Action! STRAIGHT FROM MEMBERS THE ATLANTA APARTMENT Association is gearing up for the Southeast's largest show dedicated to the multifamily housing industry. This year's theme, "Lights, Camera, Action," is sure to bring AAA members together for an informative, delightful day. The show will occur on Wednesday, May 18, at the Cobb Galleria Centre, and networking opportunities abound with more than 300 member exhibitors. Also, this year AAA will host a luncheon seminar presentation by Rommel Anacan, president of Relationship Difference, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Cobb Galleria Ballroom A. Formerly a customer care manager of the Irvine Company Apartment Communities, Anacan started the Relationship Difference to educate clients on how to boost ROI, enhance productivity, maximize efficiency and improve employee satisfaction. The opening ceremony, sponsored by Ameristar Screen and Glass, will commence at 1 p.m. At that time, all members will be allowed to mingle with exhibitors on the show floor and participate in some of the festivities AAA has in store for attendees. Don't miss this once-a-year opportunity to meet fellow AAA members, who represent the third-largest local apartment association in the country. Founded in 1975, AAA has more than 1,450 members consisting of 350 companies. Go meet some new (and old) friends and business contacts in May! * Associate members that have not purchased booth space are not allowed to attend the trade show. The AAA trade show is my favorite trade show because I am able to see many of my current clients in a few hours at one location. When my current clients pass by my booth, I speak to them for a short time. There are also many prospective clients that pass by my booth that I meet for the first time. It takes some effort to meet the prospects, but it is worth it in the long run! - Randy Scott Fellers, Schewe, Scott & Roberts Inc. We exhibited at the trade show for the first time last year! We were able to make approximately 125 quality contacts, and from those, closed six sales with new clients while concurrently servicing current clients. The show allowed us to gauge how lucrative the industry is based on this event. I know it is rare to close business at the event, but the opportunity is there. We value the AAA trade show and our membership! - Klayton Tapley The Fireplace Place The AAA trade show is an important piece of the public relations exposure you have with your clients. This is an opportunity for you and your team to demonstrate new and current products and how it will improve their business. Our success with the trade show has been instrumental in our revenue growth. This past year, our booth made $74,000 in annual business. - Pauline Houchins Apartment Finder M A RCH/A PRIL 2016 | H A BITAT | 23 http://www.aaatradeshow.com http://www.atl-apt.org http://www.atl-apt.org
