Online continuing education provides
an opportunity for architects and allied
practitioners to fit in continuing education
requirements and skills-building into
their already jam-packed schedules. The
Webday Wednesday webinar series is a
weekly webinar-based learning opportunity
organized into monthly mini-series that
address contemporary topics in architecture
practice. These interactive, live webinars
make continuing education convenient,
accessible, and available in the comfort of
your home or office. Some of the themes
that will be explored in 2020 include
Architectural Practice Essentials, Emerging
Technologies, Advanced Envelopes, and
Universal Design. Sign up online for
individual webinars, or sign up for monthly,
semi-yearly, and yearly webinar bundles and
take advantage of bundle pricing.

a framework for understanding the financial
and accounting operations, processes
and concepts needed to run and lead a
sustainable architecture business. This
course is uniquely tailored to build essential
financial management skills
for architects and practitioners
in design and construction.
Workshops are scheduled across
Canada throughout 2020,
including Vancouver on January
17/18, 2020, Ottawa on February
21/22, 2020, London on March
13/14, 2020 and Halifax on March
20/21, 2020.
The new Leadership
for Architects course will
give participants a strong
understanding of their personal
leadership style and values,
as well as how to improve the
impact of their leadership.
Canadian architects and stories
will serve as the backdrop to
leadership training. This highlyinteractive course explores
what it means to be a leader
in the Canadian architecture
profession and brings together
concepts that are relevant to

the architect and profession. This course
will be available throughout 2020, with
workshops currently scheduled in Calgary
on January 24/25, 2020, Edmonton on
January 31/February 1, 2020, Halifax
on February 7/8, 2020 and Montreal on
March 27/28, 2020.

The RAIC has also recently launched
the Corporate Affiliate webinar series. The
webinars are offered for free on Fridays,
and RAIC members can receive continuing
education credits for participating in the
live webinar. This series is an excellent
opportunity for participants to ignite
their Friday with fresh solutions, ideas,
and tactics that they can put to work
immediately in the office.

The recently launched Heritage
Conservation series offers participants
access to exclusive online learning
opportunities and limited-edition
workshop experiences. Working in
partnership with top experts such as the
Parks Canada Agency and the Carleton
Immersive Media Studio, this series
explores topics related to heritage
conservation, emerging technologies and
digital tools, and adaptive reuse. The
Heritage Conservation series is a unique
and exciting opportunity for participants
to advance their skills and confidence
in heritage conservation. Upcoming
continuing education opportunities
include online courses on the Standards
and Guidelines for the Conservation
of Historic Places in Canada, available
through the RAIC Learning Management
System, and face-to-face workshop
experiences exploring emerging
technologies and digital tools.

Each of the RAIC continuing education
series includes opportunities for networking,
career building, and development of new
knowledge and skills.
