SUSAN MILLER 36 on Saturday, March 12, as the Beauty Changes Lives Experience launched SHOUT YOUR BEAUTY! - the beauty industry's first social consciousness campaign and a call to disrupt conventional interpretations of beauty. A fundraiser for the Beauty Changes Lives Experience held during America's Beauty Show by Cosmetologists Chicago, SHOUT YOUR BEAUTY! united approximately 1,000 brand leaders and industry professionals along with beauty, wellness and fashion enthusiasts. The evening pushed beauty's expressive boundaries, celebrated NEXTGEN talent, and honored skincare authority and inclusive health pioneer Howard Muard with the Legacy Award. Dr. Murad shared his enthusiasm for helping support next generation beauty and wellness talent. "I'm looking forward to helping BCL become the beauty industry's vision to the future," he said. The highlight of the evening was a fashion show featuring NEXTGEN artists from American Crew, CND, Matrix, Mizani, TIGI and Wella Salon Professional. Each team shouted its beauty with runway looks that celebrated bold messages evocative of beauty's diverse, welcoming and affirming culture. Colors, shapes and textures converged as brands presented hair, makeup and nail designs that reflected each team's definition of beauty. Off the runway, guests enjoyed the music of celebrity DJ Sean Mac and complimentary hair and makeup touch-ups at "glam and go" vanity stations, while strolling the pink carpet, indulging in generous swag bags and shouting their beauty on a SHOUT YOUR BEAUTY! statement wall.
