Cimaglia Educator of the Year is a highly prestigious award given to one instructor each year who has exhibited the most significant contribution towards professional standards of educational excellence, particularly within the areas of student involvement during the immediate past year. Nominees must currently work as a classroom educator and be a current member of Career Educators Alliance (CEA). While Milady is the primary sponsor of the award, it is not required for nominees to teach using Milady-based curriculum in their school. ALL INSTRUCTORS from ALL SCHOOLS are welcome to apply as long as they meet the criteria. The winner will be announced at the Annual CEA & AMP Convention in July, and will receive: * A complimentary convention registration * Roundtrip airfare and lodging for the convention * $2,500 cash * O ther prizes courtesy of Milady CHI & Zendaya Unveil #REALisBEAUTIFUL Campaign CHI and Zendaya, who is known for expressing herself through ever changing, bold and exciting looks, have teamed up to show and encourage women to be their authentic self - because being real is being beautiful. The #REALisBEAUTIFUL ad campaign highlights six diverse styles, curated by CHI and Zendaya, which showcase the versatility and power hair lends to personal style and expression. The ad campaign looks will debut in select magazines this spring. Starting in September 2015, contestants completed weekly challenges to showcase their creativity and technical skills through aweinspiring nail artistry. Each week, public voting and judges' scores determined who would be eliminated and who would continue on in the competition. Haung's grand prize includes $2,000 cash, gift basket from CND, a trophy, opportunity to judge next year's competition, coverage in Modern Salon Magazine, cover of the May issue of NAILS, trip to New York Fashion Week and guest editor of NAILS for a year. Wahl Men's Method Program Gets Refreshed Educator from AACS Member School Wins Top Award in National Competition Winner Announced for Industry's Top Nails Awards Teena Gugliotti, an educator at International Institute of Cosmetology in Plainville, Connecticut, was honored with the Instructor of the Year Award at Sebastian Professional's WHAT'S NEXT AWARDS in February. The competition draws entries from hundreds of competitors from North America, and only one honoree is chosen per year in each category. To be considered for award, students submitted testimonials and reviews through a social media platform. Winnie Huang was crowned NAILS Magazine's Next Top Nail Artist (NTNA) at the competition's Awards and Party during America's Beauty Show (ABS) in March. Now in its third season, NTNA is one of the premier competitions within the nail industry. For the second year in a row, CND served as the title sponsor. The top three contestants - Huang, Celina Rydén, Sarah Elmaz - were CND's NextGen Artists at the 4th Annual Beauty Changes Lives (BCL) Experience the evening before the winner announcement. Launched in 2015, Wahl Men's Method now offers first-class additions and amenities to simplify both the teaching and learning experience through unique program upgrades. The new Course Management book, Inspirational Notebook and posters are just a few of many items that can be found in the Wahl Men's Method Master Set, whose objective is to enhance all current school curriculums.
