Eastern Lift Truck Employees Help Rebuild Theatre Among the places hit by Superstorm Sandy was Long Beach Island, an 18-mile strip of land near Atlantic City. The Surflight Theatre was heavily damaged by the storm. Volunteers from Eastern Lift Truck pitched in to remove debris, install new flooring for the stage, clean hallways and offices, install new drywall and wainscoting and apply layers of new paint to get the theatre open for the 2013 season. Said Surflight Director of Operations Bill Lawton, "Without Mike Pruitt (President of Eastern Lift) and his group of volunteers from Eastern Lift, the Surflight would never have been able to open the 2013 season on time. They did a wonderful job helping us get back on our feet and we are extremely grateful for all their help."
