MHEDA INDUSTRY NEWS MILESTONES Wolter Group Expands Illinois Material Handling Sales Team Rice Named Vice President of Sales & Marketing general manager, as well as the company’s director of operations. Wolter Group LLC announced the appointments of Dawn Tippit and David Smagor as account managers for its Illinois Material Handling facility, a member of the Wolter Group of companies. Tippit brings more than 10 years of experience in the industrial machinery field to the role, while Smagor has had a 17-year career in customer service/account management, including seven years of material handling aftermarket experience. SI Systems, a subsidiary of Paragon Technologies, Inc., named Peter Rice vice president of sales and marketing. Rice is the third in a series of new management hires who are redefining the company’s direction and strengthening its position in the marketplace. Rice has more than 25 years of experience in the material handling industry, most recently in the pallet rack and storage space sectors where he fostered relationships between manufacturers and distributors. In his new role, he is focused on revitalizing the SI Systems brand and growing the distributor/integrator sales channel. Hy-Tek Receives Hytrol Integration Partner Service Awards Wildeck Appoints Neris Ripkey Named Hy-Tek Mobile Equipment President Wildeck, Inc. appointed Noel Neris to the position of lean leader for its North American operations, based in Waukesha, WI. To support the company’s aggressive business growth, Neris will report directly to the president and will be responsible for the implementation of lean strategies, coordination of Kaizen events, lean training, developing key metrics for lean deployment and streamlining company procedures and processes (Value Stream Mapping) to reduce cycle times and improve work-flow. 62 MHEDA | themhedajournal.org Hy-Tek Material Handling, Inc. was awarded two Hytrol Integration Partner Service Awards at the Hytrol Convention in Little Rock, AR. Hy-Tek was recognized for 50 years of service at the company’s Columbus office and 10 years of service at the Cleveland office. Quick Cable Appoints Two Quick Cable hired Rick Meszaros and Jim Beyer to their account management team to focus on heavy trucks and stationary battery markets. The two bring dozens of years of experience to the role. With 12 years in manufacturing and distribution and another 12 years in the construction/vocational trucking industry, Meszaros brings a perspective that will extend Quick Cable’s reach in multiple markets. Jim Beyer joins the Quick Cable account management team in a newly-created position focusing on the stationary battery and electrical distribution markets. Griffin Retires From Lift-Rite Hy-Tek Material Handling appointed Jim Ripkey as Mobile Equipment Division president. Ripkey will be responsible for growing the business of the Mobile Equipment Division within its current market and beyond. Ripkey returns to Hy-Tek after a 10-year absence. From 1995-2002, he served as Hy-Tek’s vice president and Mel Griffin retired from Lift-Rite effective December 31, 2012. Griffin had served as president of Lift-Rite since 1989. During this time, he made significant contributions to the organization through his leadership in making Lift-Rite a market leading brand and by establishing the North American Hand Pallet Truck strategy for Toyota Material Handling North America. http://www.themhedajournal.org
