INDUSTry PUlSE: 2 For years, The MHEDA Journal has done forecasting in the 1st Quarter Issue of the magazine. It's one of the most popular features in the magazine. However, over the course of the year, things change and trends emerge. We decided that it didn't make sense to only forecast once per year. So with that in mind, we are debuting a new feature called the "Industry Pulse" where we talk to MHEDA members and Board Members each quarter to get a status update on the industry. What has changed and what has remained the same? We found that since the 1st Quarter, nearly 60% of respondents have actually changed their projection for 2015. Why? A myriad of issues such as: Plunging gas prices What are the trends driving growth in your region or company? Increased national account spending More consideration for automation projects Tweet us @MhEDA_Journal using the hashtag #trendsdrivinggrowth to tell us what you're seeing. By ThE NUMBErS Overall results: 8.9% of cumulative growth expected by respondents 57% of respondents' projections have changed since 1st Quarter n 14.3% expect to outpace industry growth n 85.7% expect to be equal or behind industry growth Nearly 15% expect to be ahead of the industry's growth projections!
