(Birmingham, AL) have achieved 2013 MVP status based on their activity in 2012. R.H. Brown and Springer join 22 fellow members in earning the distinction. To become an MVP, dozens of criteria must be met within five areas: industry relations, customer relations, peer-to-peer networking, training and best practices. In addition to reaching all of the criteria, letters of recommendation must be submitted from customers and suppliers. Flow-Rite Appoints Two Flow-Rite Controls hired Tanya Jones as quality manager and Sara McMurray as Central Regional Manager. The two bring dozens of years of experience to the company. Tanya boasts over 14 years of experience in quality, from supplier to OEM. She also has extensive experience in developing and implementing quality management systems. Sara comes to Flow-Rite from Specialty Heat Treating after 10 very successful years in the world of thermal processing. As the Central Regional Manager, Sara will work with existing and new distributors, as well as develop new business with national accounts. Briggs Equipment Named One of Top Private Companies for Leaders Hy-Tek Material Handling, Inc. announced the promotion of Tom Mann to Integrated Systems Division President. Integrated Systems is one of four divisions operated by Columbus, Ohio-based Hy-Tek. Mann’s appointment was announced by HyTek CEO Samuel Grooms. As president, Mann will be responsible for growing the Integrated Systems Division nationally. Based in Greater Cincinnati, Mann oversees a team of experienced engineering, sales, logistics and project management professionals working out of Hy-Tek offices in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, New Jersey and Philadelphia. An Integrated Systems specialist with three decades of industry experience, Mann has been with Hy-Tek for 11 years. He served as Briggs Equipment was ranked fourth on Chief Executive magazine’s 2013 “Best Private Companies for Leaders” list. The list is based on a survey of more than 1,000 leading organizations worldwide. It identifies top global companies that utilize best practices in leadership development and succession planning.
