Team for Success
NACCO Materials Handling Group (NMHG) announces the
promotion and shifted responsibilities of several company
leaders. These changes follow the recently announced promotion of Chuck Pascarelli to President, Americas. NMHG's
existing President of Sales, Americas, David Furman, will
maintain his current title and direct reports while expanding
his areas of responsibility to include the Marketing and the
Leasing and Remarketing functions. Pat DeSutter, Director of
Fleet Management, has been promoted to the position of Vice
President of Fleet, Service and Aftermarket. Vice President
of Finance, Ray Ulmer, will maintain his current role while
also assuming overall responsibility for Human Resources.
Shoppa's Material Handling
appointed Timothy O'Brien
to succeed Ciaran Farrell in
the role of Chief Financial
Officer (CFO) of Shoppa's
Material Handling and Shoppa's MidAmerica.
O'Brien brings with him an extensive background
in material handling from Malin Integrated
Handling Solutions & Design where he served as
Chief Financial Officer for 17 years. Other previous
experience includes assurance auditing, due diligence
and control analytics at BDO, USA and Traxxas.
In moves to support the continued fast-pace growth of Steele
Solutions, Mike Thelen has transitioned from company president to
chief executive officer and chairman of the board while Kevin
O'Neill has been named president
of the company, which designs
and manufactures industrial mezzanines, equipment platforms and
other steel structures.
For West Chester, Pennsylvania-native Brian Bushelow, the important role
that material handling plays
in the supply chain is what
drew him to the industry.
"I have always been interested in what goes on in the
background of companies,"
Bushelow says. "I became
interested in material handling because it is a major
part of all businesses and the part that can make or
break a company."
Bushelow, a graduate of East Carolina University's Industrial Distribution and Logistics program,
sees material handling as a field with limitless
"Material handling would make a good career for
me because it has the challenges and opportunities
I want in a career," he says. "It is an ever-growing
field with endless possibilities. It will allow me to
apply what I have learned, both through class and
internships, while also allowing me to learn more."
That challenge is a major draw for Bushelow, who
plans to pursue a career in an industry like material
handling or something similarly fast-paced. He says,
"I want to be somewhere that will challenge me and
provide me opportunities to learn and grown."
In Fall 2014, Bushelow interned with NMHG in
Greenville, NC. He graduated from ECU in May 2015.
To ensure a seamless transition after the
retirement of Dave LeMaster, Vice President of
Associated, the company announced two new positions. Troy Donnelly was named director of engineering and design and Shari Altergott was named
director of marketing and business development.
