INDUSTRY PULSE: 4 For years, The MHEDA Journal has done forecasting in the 1st Quarter Issue of the magazine. It's one of the most popular features in the magazine. However, over the course of the year, things change and trends emerge. We decided that it didn't make sense to only forecast once per year. So with that in mind, we are debuting a new feature called the "Industry Pulse" where we talk to MHEDA members and Board Members each quarter to get a status update on the industry. What has changed and what has remained the same? We found that since the 1st Quarter, nearly 70% of respondents have actually changed their projection for 2015. Why? A myriad of issues such as: Low fuel prices What are the trends driving growth in your region or company? Tweet us @MHEDA_Journal using the hashtag #trendsdrivinggrowth to tell us what you're seeing. Abundance of consumer confidence Historically low interest rates Increased automation activity BY THE NUMBERS Overall Results: 9.25% of cumulative growth expected by respondents Nearly 70% of those surveyed have revised their projections up! n 70% of respondents have revised their projections up since October. n 30% of respondents' projections have remained the same since October.
