member benefits. This is an excellent way
to get trusted news and updates that affect
our industry.
As another value-added benefit, VMA
is developing marketing collateral for our
members to share with their customers that
will address the question: Why should a consumer choose a VMA member or purchase
VMA-certified products? To help members
market the importance of VMA-certified
products, we will provide logos for use on
advertising, business cards and invoices.

he Vinyl Manufacturers Association (VMA) was established
with the purpose of raising the
industry standard through the
implementation of its certification process. VMA is making great strides
in this area, and we are seeking to build on
this success in 2018 by increasing engagement with members and marketing our
benefits to onboard new members. Serving
on the steering committee of an industry organization like VMA has quickly
reinforced that our members and our
value-added benefits are the life blood of
a thriving organization.
VMA has a lot to offer current and potential members. As a division of the American
Fence Association (AFA), VMA members
enjoy all of the benefits offered by AFA,
such as our popular and cost-saving member savings program. Valuable for owners of
small- to mid-sized businesses, the savings
program provides operating cost savings on
products and services that you already pay
for, such as payroll or credit card processing,
office supplies, equipment rentals, uniforms,
and much more.
For example, Jared Bell, a VMA
member, saved his business more than
$2,000 last year through the member
savings program. We urge you to take
a look at the program partners, which
are located under the Benefits tab of the
Membership menu on the AFA website.
If you have any questions about the program, please contact Mark Schiavone at
mark@membersavingsprogram.com.
VMA members can also stay up-to-date
on industry trends, association news and
upcoming events through print and digital
publications. Each member should receive
Fencepost magazine, FenceSense and the
e-newsletter Across the Fence as part of their
