"What a great group of
businesswomen - in a field one
might think is only staffed by
men. The energy in the room
was incredible; these women are
passionate about their industry
and sincerely there to support one
another. It reminded me of my
Les Dames d'Escoffier. I know
they are all better working
collaboratively and applauding
each other's success. I was
honored to address the ladies
of PWB and had many great
one-on-one conversations after
my talk," said Mary S. Moore,
founder and CEO of
The Cook's Warehouse.
"Cynthia was a true inspiration to our members. Cynthia delivered
her message with great compassion and knowledge about
having a good balance in life with your family and your work!
You can learn more about Cynthia at www.littlepinkbook.com,"
said Betsy Sheppard, PWB Atlanta Council 2015 Chairman
(pictured on the left).
Our tagline IS our mission. We
have been working diligently this
year to make sure that we continue to
raise the bar in the building industry
by providing our members with
education, empowerment, and quality
opportunities to connect.
EDUCATE. A leading cause for
PWB Atlanta, education is also a form
of empowerment. This year we are
proud to again raise money for our
scholarship fund. We raised several
hundred dollars at our first 2015
meeting alone! We know that this is

one of the best ways to support our
members in successfully fulfilling
their goals and taking them to another
level - a level that they might not
otherwise be able to reach. We look
forward to announcing our scholarship
winner in September.
EMPOWER. Our fabulous speakers
continue to reinforce that you can
accomplish anything! Our first speaker,
Angela Williams, overcame a childhood
riddled with struggles. She showed us
how she was able to turn those struggles
into a national movement by starting a
thriving non-profit, called VOICE Today,
Inc. Its mission is to protect the next
generations of children.
In April, Mary Moore, Founder and
CEO of The Cooks Warehouse, shared
her story of success in the world of
cuisine mostly dominated by men. She
took the PWB members through her
journey from being raised on a farm as
a child and cooking with her family to
owning and operating Atlanta's premier
gourmet store and cooking school.
