PAST EVENTS Construction Leadership Council Holiday Mixer CLC members headed to Warehouse Bar & Chill on December, 4, 2014, to celebrate their year's accomplishments and for a chance to win gift cards just in time for the holidays. In 2014, CLC raised more than $10,000 for the Patrick J. Kiley Excellence in Leadership Scholarship and provided numerous opportunities through educational programs and events for the next generation of construction professionals. In addition, the CLC donated a flagpole, complete with the United States and Texas flags, to the Hermann Park Golf Course to commemorate the tournament's 10th anniversary. As part of the ceremony, City of Houston Council District D Member Dwight Boykins made a special appearance after the tournament and thanked AGC Houston and the CLC Committee for their contributions to Houston's public golf course. Many thanks to all CLC members for making 2014 so successful and especially to Co-Chairs Kyle Holland, Gilbane Building Co. and Craig Kutac, Brookstone, LP for their invaluable support. Annual Board of Directors General Contractor Business Dinner Celebrates Chapter Successes On Monday, December 8, 2014, the AGC Houston Board of Directors invited all General Contractor members, as well as committee chairs and the Construction Leadership Council Board to this annual special event. The celebration took place at Ouisie's Table restaurant in River Oaks. Attendees heard from Jerry Nevlud, Steve Mechler, and Bill Scott, III, about the significant milestones AGC Houston reached in 2014. Steve Mechler, who has led the chapter as Chairman since 2013, thanked all present and those who contributed to the significant accomplishments in the past two years. He also encouraged more membership involvement through committees, educational and networking opportunities. First Member Mixer of the Year Draws Large Crowd, Welcomes New Members February 5, 2015 AGC Houston members packed Crisp in The Heights on February 5, 2015 for the first networking mixer of the year.
