PAST EVENTS AGC Houston Members Head to San Antonio for AGC of America Convention and Bring Home Top Awards Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc. Wins Alliant Build America Award It was an exceptionally proud moment for AGC Houston to witness Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc. take home a prized Alliant Build America Award at a luncheon ceremony on March 10, 2016 in conjunction with the AGC of America 97th Annual Convention in San Antonio. Congratulations to Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc. on winning a 2016 Alliant Build America Award for the Texas A&M University Francis Hall Renovation. The project won in the Building Renovation Under $10 million category. Built in 1918, Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc. renovated the building's 32,500 square-foot interior to repurpose the facility for construction science studies, providing new classrooms, specialized labs, a stateof-the-art BIM studio, and Francis Hall, Department of Construction Science, Texas A&M University. other resources. Jerry Nevlud Recognized AGC Houston President/CEO Jerry Nevlud was presented with a recognition plaque for his year of service as President of the Executive Leadership Council during the Convention in San Antonio. The ELC is the group of AGC association professionals who oversee chapters across the country. The mission of the ELC is to provide continuous and timely professional development, networking opportunities and leadership skills through effective facilitation and strategic thinking. AGC Houston is particularly proud to have had Jerry Nevlud serve as leader for this prestigious group during 2015! AGC Houston Members Garner Top Safety Awards at AGC of America Convention Congratulations to Anslow Bryant Construction, Ltd., Satterfield & Pontikes, SpawGlass Construction Corp., and Tellepsen for winning a Construction Safety Excellence Award at a breakfast ceremony on March 10, 2016. In its 30th year, the event recognizes AGC members and chapters for outstanding safety performance. The CSEA recognizes companies that have developed and implemented premier safety and loss prevention programs that have achieved continuous improvements and maintenance of their safety and health management systems. Congratulations and a special thanks to the members of the AGC Houston Safety Committee who worked so hard to help judge entries!
