FROM THE PRESIDENT AND CEO
ON BEHALF OF the International Carwash Association, and its
board of directors and staff, it is our pleasure to present this annual
report. Overall, 2015 was an exceptional year for the professional
car wash industry, and ICA certainly reflected the growth and
strength of its members' businesses.
Perhaps most notable for the association was the launch of our
first trade show outside of the United States, with Car Wash Show
Europe being held in Amsterdam. (See our special edition of CAR
WASH Magazine that was sent in late 2015.) In only its first edition,
Car Wash Show Europe became the world's second-largest gathering of car wash professionals, behind only The Car Wash Show in
the United States. With nearly twice the number of attendees as
anticipated, and very positive feedback from visitors and sponsors,
we are excited about what this new event can do to enhance learning across the globe.
Not to be outdone, The Car Wash Show recorded its largest ever
year-over-year increase in attendance, with 22 percent more attendees in 2015 than the year prior. The trade show hall was absolutely
electric, and record-setting crowds at educational seminars added
to an exceptional event. We were excited to welcome our new show
partner, Western Carwash Association, into The Car Wash Show.
Their sessions were some of the event's highest-rated components.
On the pages that follow, we provide a summary of these and other
accomplishments. Our goal is to support a strong car wash community - one that provides operators and suppliers with valuable
learning and networking opportunities. Thanks to your support, we
made real progress in 2015. Going forward, we invite you to continue
to provide your input and ideas so we can provide even more value
to the global car wash industry.
