$626,365 from ISTAT.
The Appraiser Panel lightened up the proceedings with a Jeopardy-style game driving
the discussion, including considerations of
Boeing cannibalizing its own products, the
role of the A330neo and the idea of newer
airplanes supplanting older airplanes to
comprise a new middle of the market.
The Airline panelists weighed the more
human elements of the industry, with

moderator John Kirby, vice president capacity planning, Alaska Airlines, stressing the
importance of organically integrating new
employees when a consolidation occurs.
"When Alaska acquired Virgin America, we
couldn't lose sight of our core business,"
Kirby said. "You have to preserve the culture, and you have to make sure people
feel like family."
The Lessor CEO Panel, the final and one
of the busiest panels of the entire conference, brought an all-star team of industry
icons to weigh the state of the leasing
sector of the industry. The 737max versus
the A321neo dominated the conversation,
but some considerations were made to
up-and-coming leasing companies.
Beyond the sessions, Marc S. Allinson
passed the torch of ISTAT president to
Douglas W. Runte, managing director, securitized products & high yield
research, Deutsche Bank, in a tearyeyed address that received a standing
