Examining the Takeaways from ISTAT Asia in Singapore

his keynote address.
The eighth annual ISTAT Asia took place in Singapore 8-10
May. The event provided those in attendance with an inside
look at the issues and opportunities facing the industry
in the Asia-Pacific region and built on the momentum the
conference has established in previous years.
With nearly 800 attendees, the event brought in a crosssection of the industry, by giving a platform to presenters and panelists representing the manufacturing, leasing,
appraising, financing, airline and many other segments of
the industry.
The Ritz-Carlton Millenia served as the host property for
the event, and a healthy amount of education, forecasting,
analysis and networking was packed into three very full days.
The panel discussions included representatives from Airbus,
Boeing, Bombardier, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, Embraer,
The Korea Development Bank, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce,
Thai Airways International and many others, and discussions included conversations on low cost carriers, regional
