Moments later, the Engine Panel took
the stage, which found the panelists generally agreeing that the OEMs and MROs
can happily coexist, and this consensus
was shared by attendees, as reflected in
the live poll.
After a coffee break, the Aircraft Finance
Panel convened for the final session of the
day. The conversation focused on the industry's bright prospects and strong financial
standing, and Gerry Laderman, senior vice
president finance, procurement and treasurer, United Airlines, offered the insight
that "The best thing about this conference is that you can use the opportunity
to talk to the banks and lessors who can
provide financing."
Although Monday's panels had concluded, the day's activities were far from
over, as attendees were offered several
events by way of the ISTAT Women's
Networking Reception and the cocktail
reception  - both held at the Sheraton
Grand Hotel and Spa - and the alwayspopular Club ISTAT at Edinburgh hotspot
Ghillie Dhu.

date and looks ahead to the program's future.
