pilot shortage, we don't see that happening
anytime soon."
Last but certainly not least in the day's
panel discussions, the Lessor CEO Panel
took the stage in front of a packed auditorium, with moderator Dómhnal Slattery,
chief executive officer, Avolon, noting that
"These are the rock stars of our industry,"
which was reflected in the session's attendance. Further adding to prior observations
that the industry is experiencing positive
growth, Alec Burger, president and chief
executive officer, GE Capital Aviation
Services, pointed out that "The weight of
the capital looking to get into the industry
is incredible."
And that concluded ISTAT EMEA's panel
discussions, but the day's events continued
with several options for attendees, including an open bar and dinner at the Sheraton
Grand Hotel & Spa, a reception at the Royal
Yacht Britannia and an after party back at
the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa.
With that, ISTAT EMEA was in the
rear-view mirror, and members adjusted
their focus to the upcoming 2017 and
2018 events.
