EAA Young Eagles Program Gives Inside Look at
Aviation Careers Through New Video Series
A new video series showing the wide variety of careers the aviation industry offers debuted at EAA AirVenture, which ran from
29 July – 4 August. The series was created in partnership with the
EAA Young Eagles, the International Society of Transport Aircraft
Trading (ISTAT) Foundation and LiveAirShowTV.
EAA’s and the Young Eagles’ mission is to increase participation
in aviation, and this v ideo series showcases a variety of careers
that are available to those who have a passion for ﬂight. Each
video focuses on a speciﬁc aviation career and highlights a personal
story in that ﬁeld. Careers featured include an aircraft mechanic,
an airline dispatcher, an airline operations manager, an aircraft
manufacturing specialist, an air safety specialist and many more.
“Having a passion for aviation can be more than just a hobby,”
said Bret Steffen, EAA director of education. “These videos demonstrate how people can fulﬁll that love of ﬂight everyday through
a variety of careers.”
The videos premiered on 1 August in the Chapter Young
Eagles Pavilion during AirVenture. They are available online at
www.youngeagles.org and www.liveairshowtv.com.
