Partnerships:

The glue that holds NACAS together

C

oca-Cola. Apple. Starbucks. Barnes & Noble. Chick-fil-A. Partnerships
like these keep our students well-fed, well-rested, comfortable,
and happy. The relationships that we build with companies and
organizations are essential to supplying that unbeatable "home-awayfrom-home" feel that we strive to provide for every person who steps
foot on our campus.
Partnerships don't just create products, they create memories. They're
part of the nostalgia that students will feel later in life as they look back on
their college experience. They'll remember the first time they ventured into
the bookstore to buy a school t-shirt for the big game. They'll remember
the refreshing taste of Pepsi during their first all-night study session and
chowing down on Qdoba in the newly-refurbished student center.
We want our students to have fond memories of enjoying Starbucks
coffee in the library, but we also want them to remember the time they
volunteered at the on-campus farmers market, which was set up by
Sodexo. We want them to remember fundraising for their school's Relay
for Life or tutoring local children through their university's charity center.
We want them to go home each summer proud of the work they did, not
only academically, but also within the context of the greater community.
Partnerships are also the glue that holds NACAS together. From NACAS
to the Regions to the Education Foundation, we work together to ensure
that you, the members, have the best experience possible and are able
to learn and grow as auxiliary services professionals. Your dedication to
your craft helps to enrich the campus experience for students the world
over. As we move into the regional conferences, you will see the future
of NACAS come to life.  I am hopeful you will see the past honored and a
bright future ahead.
With June being our official brand launch date, I hope you have enjoyed
the look and feel of this issue of College Services and will stay connected
through the summer with the website and social media as the brand
really comes to life. I want to thank our dedicated NACAS volunteers, the
NACAS Board of Directors, Mekanic, Jean Frankel with Ideas for Action,
and the NACAS staff for all of their hard work in implementing all of the
moving parts as we make this transition. The rebrand provides a unique
opportunity for us to refocus our lenses. What do we do? Who are we?
Why does our work matter?
NACAS provides you with an opportunity to immerse in a community of
like-minded leaders - Leaders with shared business acumen, creativity,
and vision for how campus environments can transform to enrich student
experiences. We are in a position to positively impact the future of higher
education and together we will by....

Providing solutions to enrich experiences and the quality of life for
students. Resources to inform our members' decisions on campus transformation. Counsel to build our Business Partners' brands within campus
communities. Innovation to improve the financial health of higher education institutions. Leadership to advance and sustain campus environments worldwide.

WILL YOU LEAD WITH US?
