he North Carolina Pork Conference is set for Thursday,
February 6, and Friday, February 7.
Our seminars will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday
at the Martin Building on the NC State Fairgrounds.
Educational opportunities will include a multi-part
program focusing on "Record Keeping and Reporting on Swine
Operations" and will allow up to 3 OIC credit hours.
Topics covered will include:
* Regulatory/Permit Requirements
* Recordkeeping to Improve Operational Efficiency
* Maintaining Records to Demonstrate Good Environmental
Management beyond Specific Regulatory Requirements
* Recordkeeping Systems
These seminars will be conducted by experts from all areas
of the industry including the EPA and NC DENR.
The afternoon will include updates on Pork Checkoff and
NPPC initiatives, a complimentary lunch and continuation
of the morning seminar series. Those will be followed by the
NCPC Annual Meeting.
Our Bacon Bash, a members-only event, will be hosted at
the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley Thursday evening.
Join us at the Marriott for breakfast on Friday, February 7,
at 8:30, followed by Annual Awards Presentations beginning
at 9:00 a.m.
