We caught up with Kelli after NENA 2014. Here's what she had to say about the scholarship and the conference. McMurray was a 30 year member of the Marin County (CA) Sheriff's Office, joining the Communications Center staff in September of 1977, starting as dispatcher and moving to supervising dispatcher and finally to communications manager in 1986. In addition to his duties and responsibilities in Marin County, McMurray served on the NENA board As President, McMurray helped steer the NENA ship through some challenging waters and provided effective leadership allowing NENA to remain the strong organization that it is today. He cared deeply for the people who worked with him and for the public safety mission they are called upon to carry out each and every day. He was profoundly committed to the public Tell us a little bit about who you are, where you're from, what you do, and your history with NENA... My name is Kelli Brian. I'm from Vigo County Central Dispatch in Terre Haute, Indiana. I'm a dispatcher, but I'm also the Tactical Dispatch Team Coordinator. I attended my first state NENA conference in 2012. 24 | THE CALL | SUMMER 2014
