During the last few years, NENA, as well as APCO and the IAED, have realized the need for management and supervisor training classes. This is a great way to learn and educate managers and supervisors in the 9-1-1 field; however, managers and supervisors should start to reach out to each other locally to assist each other rather than becoming overwhelmed. A few years ago, we started the Eastern Iowa Supervisors Group. Even though our name implied geographical location, we had members from the western side of the state join as well.
