OBITUARIES Charles Button, 70, passed away on March 17, 2015. He was a longtime resident of the city of Boston (West Roxbury), Massachusetts and formerly of Manchester, Connecticut. Charlie earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Tufts University and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Connecticut. He was a Licensed Professional Engineer in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He was the Founder and President of Freshwater Consulting. In his forty-five year career as a professional engineer he served as the Chief Engineer and Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, the Chief Engineer of the Boston Water and Sewer Commission, and Chief Engineer for the Hartford Metropolitan District Commission. In addition, he also helped to improve the water environment, public infrastructure, and public health during his work with several private international engineering consulting firms in the Boston area. Charlie was an active member of the New England Water Works Association for 36 years. In addition, he was a Past President of the Boston Society of Civil Engineers, a Past Member of the New England Chapter - APWA Board of Directors and an active member of numerous other professional associations including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Water Environment Federation, the New England Water Environment Association, and the Charles River Watershed Association. David Lee Ridzon, 50, of Willington, Connecticut, died tragically on March 19, 2015 while performing road repair work. David was a dedicated employee of the town of Tolland, Connecticut, Department of Public Works for many years. Urgent Need for Papers!!
