Weather Service for any zip code within the continental United
States. Weather prediction information and input from the program
user are entered into the equation provided by Uno as follows:

E = (Tc2.5 - rTa2.5)(1 + 0.4V) x 10 -6

where
E = evaporation rate, lb/ft2/hr;
Tc = concrete (water surface) temperature, F;
Ta = air temperature, F;
r = (relative humidity)/100;
V = wind velocity, mph.
The calculator allows the user to simply input a zip code and then
immediately provides the user with a chart showing the evaporation
rate for that geographic location for the next seven days, Figure 1. If
the evaporation rate is less than 0.15 lb/ft 2/hr, the chart will show a
"green" zone. If the evaporation rate is between 0.15 lb/ft 2/hr_ and
0.2 lb/ft 2/hr the chart will show a yellow "warning" zone and if the
rate is above 0.2 lb/ft 2/hr (1.0 kg/m 2/hr) the chart will show a "red"
zone. The three evaporation rate "zones" are based on guidance
provided in ACI 305R-10.
The air temperature, relative humidity and wind velocity values are
all obtained from the U.S. National Weather Service National Digital
Forecast Database (NDFD). Initially, the calculator determines the
