The Generals - Fall/Winter 2015 - (Page 39)
his past April, OGCA held its 9th
Construction Symposium at Blue
Mountain Resort in Collingwood. Over
750 people attended, from 61 member companies and over 50 sponsors. Among
the guests and speakers were Anibal Valente,
Chairman of the Canadian Construction
Association, David Morley of Infrastructure
Ontario, Brad Humphrey of the Pinnacle Group,
George Gritziotis of the Chief Prevention Office,
and Rob Ellis of the MySafeWork Foundation,
OGCA's designated charity.
The attendees were asked to complete a
short evaluation form following the sessions, and
Mr. Humphrey received the best overall score.
Comments from the participants included:
"Probably 'the best' speaker I have ever
encountered at any of the previous 5 symposiums I've attended."
"Extremely motivational speaker! Great energy
and well-delivered. Very practical takeaways."
All of the presentations received great
reviews, and the evening entertainment, for
the most part, was well-received.
The OGCA Ontario Builder Awards were
also presented. Winners were announced in
the spring issue of The Generals. If you would
like more information on the builder awards,
please visit the OGCA website at www.ogca.ca.
The next round of awards will be presented at the
10th Construction Symposium, April 6 - 8, 2017.
Thank you again to all of our sponsors
and Strategic Partners. We encourage all of
you to use the services that our sponsors
