2013 recipient of the Bernie Schnieders Ontario Discoverers of the Year Award for the discovery of the Sunday Lake Pt deposit (Transition/Implats) Transition Metals Corp Haultain Project Sudbury Platinum Corporation Aer-Kidd Project encompassing the past producers, Robinson Mine, Rosen Mine and the Howland Pit 12 Among its cache of 26 Canadian projects, 17 are located in Ontario where much of the Company's activities have taken place over the past year. The Ontario projects are bundled into three district plays that include; 1) Mid-Continental Rift (MCR) Platinum Group Metals (PGM), 2) Abitibi Gold and 3) Sudbury Nickel. In the MCR district, the Company has made a significant platinum discovery at Sunday Lake located approximately 25 kilometres north of Thunder Bay. This discovery was the result of a 5 year strategic alliance with Impala Platinum Holdings Inc. for which the partnership received the Bernie Schneiders, Discovery of the Year award in 2013. Implats holds a 75% interest in the project and Transition is carrying out the work for a 25% free carried interest through to the completion of a Bankable Feasibility Study. The discovery intersection at Sunday Lake returned 20.20 m grading 3.22 g/t PGM that included 3.0 m grading 5.37 g/t PGM (Hole SL-13-002). Of considerable interest, higher valued platinum is nearly 2 times as abundant as palladium at Sunday. The mineralization is hosted in a mafic-ultramafic intrusion that is interpreted to be up to 3.5 kilometres in diameter. To date, the Company has completed 14 holes of which 12 have intersected the intrusion. Each intersection of the intrusion is mineralized and examples of additional intercepts include, 11.7 m grading 2.8 g/t PGM, including 1.0 m grading 9.75 g/t PGM in Hole SL-14-003 and 17.8 m grading 2.0 g/t PGM, including 7.0 m grading 3.3 g/t PGM and 1.0 m grading 6.6 g/t PGM in Hole SL-14-008. The Company holds an additional 5 PGM projects in the MCR region which it is currently trying to source partners to help advance. Notably, Eva Kitto was recently acquired through staking and is interpreted to encompass a mafic-ultramafic intrusion that is very similar to Sunday Lake with respect to the potential for comparable styles of mineralization. A re-interpretation of historic data, including geophysical data, has identified a number of targets the Company intends to follow up this coming summer. The Company also holds 8 gold projects in the Abitibi greenstone belt. The Abitibi is a prolific, gold mining district that contributes about 80% of Canada's annual gold production. Transition saw the exceptional prospectivity for the discovery of additional, new gold resources in the relatively under-explored southern Abitibi in Ontario and has focused its exploration along new and less-recognized mineralized trends. In 2010, it made a new discovery on its Haultain project located just outside of the town of Gowganda. The Company interprets that the property lies along the eastern extension of the Ridout Fault, a deep crustal structure along the south side of the Round Lake Batholith. The geological setting, lithologies, alteration and controls on mineralization are interpreted to be analogous to those occurring north of the batholith along the Cadillac-Larder Fault at the Matachewan and Kirkland Lake camps. Mineralization at Haultain is controlled by shear structures within altered syenites in contact with highly altered, quartzcarbonate, fuchsitic ultramafic volcanics.
