Huck of the were recently awarded the 2015 AWWA Membrane Treatment Best Paper Award for their JAWWA article entitled "Pretreatment impacts on biopolymers in adjacent ultrafiltration plants" for research sponsored by the Region of Peel and conducted at Lakeview and Lorne Park Water Treatment Plants. The OWWA's support and encouragement of college and university programs dedicated to producing high quality drinking water professionals has contributed to OWWA's reputation as being an AWWA section to be envied and has led to Ontario standards that are now among the highest in the world.
