OWWEA PRESIDENT'S REPORT increasing Value for Our Members g reetings fellow Water Professionals, Hard to believe 2015 is coming to a close! it is amazing how the perpetual wheel of conference planning and association business keeps us on a rapid pace throughout the whole year. truly, the equipment association and our partners from oWWa and oMWa keep the wheels moving to bring value to our respective members and make our conference the premier event on the calendar. From my perspective, this goal is paramount to the success of the associations. in reflection of the year gone by, i am very proud of the hard work and devotion that the equipment association directors have shown as volunteer members on the board. Having the support from their "full time" employers is greatly appreciated! and of course, i would be remiss not to thank our executive administrator Kelly Fransen who is the glue that keeps our efforts together! Most of our association members will know Kelly as she is a prominent contributor at the Conference tradeshow and associated events. looking ahead to 2016, we are continuing to search for and implement ways to increase our value to our members and to the industry. there are many ways that the Equipment association endeavours to better serve our members. For example, we now have a job board on our website www.owwea.ca that is open and available for members to post free of charge. We are also planning to increase our visibility and support for the local area Conferences that traditionally are very important events for our members and the operators that attend. and finally, we are constantly looking at dynamic ways to enhance our participation, visibility, and quality at ontario's Water Conference and tradeshow. as most people are aware, the 2016 conference and tradeshow will be held at Caesars in Windsor. this is a fabulous venue for our event. our conference and tradeshow committee is hard at work putting together the best possible program for the exhibitors and delegates that will be in attendance. on the tradeshow floor, we will be building upon the success of our new technology Showcase and enhancing that experience for participants. Something different in 2016 is our Monday night hospitality, which will be hosted at the Cosmos lounge at Caesars. it will be a great evening of networking, music, and prizes in a very relaxed environment. and, for the ninth year, we are excited to host our Charity Golf tournament at ambassador Golf Club on the Wednesday May 4. For more information about association related business, please email administration@owwea.ca or visit us on the web at owwea.ca. Happy Holidays from the equipment association, i truly wish all of you a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2016!
