feature APGA Hosts Second Southeast Tour S imilar to the member tour that was done by aPGa staff in 2013, the association will once again travel through the Southeast portion of the country to provide briefings to members in a series of regional meetings. This year's tour will run from august 15 to august 26 with nine regional meetings for public natural gas systems in the Southeast. The meetings will be held in: Newport, Tenn.; Owensboro, Ky.; Jackson, Tenn.; Smithville, Tenn.; Huntsville, ala.; Pontotoc, Miss.; Destin, fla.; Tifton, Ga.; and Winder, Ga. The meetings will run from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. local time and lunch will be provided. The briefings will feature presentations from Bert Kalisch, aPGa's President & CEO, John Erickson, aPGa's Vice President of Operations, and Dave Schryver, aPGa's Executive Vice President. lunch will be provided and a roundtable discussion will be held. aPGa staff will provide an overview of aPGa activities and highlight specific advocacy and operational issues of importance to public natural gas systems such as pipeline safety, preserving and enhancing the direct-use of natural gas, natural gas vehicles, and gas supply. We strongly encourage our member representatives to both attend and to bring along utility board members who want to better understand the value delivered through your aPGa membership. These briefings offer members, especially those on a limited travel budget, an update on aPGa activities, an opportunity to offer suggestions directly to aPGa staff, and participation in a roundtable discussion with other members and staff. for many aPGa members who attended this lunch briefing three years ago, it was their first aPGa event ever.
